They sit inside the house, splitting up space while letting daylight pass from room to room. ### Who they suit Homeowners opening up a kitchen-diner who still want to shut off cooking noise, families with a dark central hallway, and anyone who loves the warehouse look and wants it in a period cottage or a new build. ### Bespoke, not off the shelf Every door and screen is made to the exact size of your opening, with the panel layout, handle and glass type you choose, so it fits the room rather than forcing the room to fit a standard door. ### Free quote from your plans We visit, measure and talk through layouts at no cost, then send a written quote. Get in touch for a quote and we'll arrange a time that suits you. A glazed screen lets you close it off. ### Common mistakes we see - Measuring before floors and plastering are finished. - Picking a glazing-bar layout that doesn't line up with the room. - Forgetting which way the door swings against furniture. - Buying online and leaving the alignment to whoever is available. Our process ## Five clear steps, start to finish - 01 ### Free written quote Send us your plans or drawings and we give you a written quote setting out the product, the brand, the finish and the fitting. No pressure to decide on the spot. - 02 ### Free survey once you go ahead When you accept your quote, we visit to take exact measurements and confirm every detail, at no cost. - 03 ### Order with a 65% deposit Once you're happy, a 65% deposit places the order with the manufacturer. Your products are made to the exact measurements taken at survey. - 04 ### Installation by our fitting team Our fitters remove the old frame, prepare the opening, install the new internal doors, seal it and check it opens, closes and locks smoothly. - 05 ### Completion and handover We tidy up, walk you through operation and care, and confirm the manufacturer's guarantee. The balance is due on the day of completion, and aftercare call-outs on doors we've fitted are free. Benefits ## What you get ### Light between rooms Daylight carries through, so inner rooms feel brighter. ### A crisp, slim look Narrow black frames and bars for an industrial finish. ### Close it off Separate noise and smells without losing the open feel. ### Made to measure Sized to your opening, not a standard door. ### One team Survey and fitting by the same people. ### Free aftercare Aftercare call-outs on doors we've fitted are free. In detail ## Options, materials and methods Everything worth knowing before your survey, so you can make a confident decision. ### Single, double and sliding Choose single or double hinged doors, add fixed side panels or an overhead light to create a full-width screen, or ask about sliding options for tighter spaces. ### Glass choices Clear glass keeps the view open; reeded or frosted glass adds privacy for utility rooms and downstairs toilets while still letting light through. ### Handles and finishes Black frames are the classic look, paired with black or brass handles. We'll bring samples to your survey so you can see them in your own light. ### Want genuine steel? If you'd prefer real steel profiles, we also supply and fit RK Steel internal doors, and we'll show you both side by side at our Coleraine showroom, by appointment only. ### Open-plan living without the drawbacks Open-plan kitchens are great for family life, but noise, cooking smells and heat travel through the whole space. A glazed internal door or screen lets you close off part of the room when you want to, without losing the feeling of space or the light. Many customers fit one between the kitchen and living area so the television room can be shut off in the evening. ### Brightening hallways Hallways and landings often get little direct daylight. Replacing a solid door with a glazed one lets light from the rooms around it reach the hall. It is one of the simplest changes you can make to a dark house. ### Sliding or hinged Hinged doors suit most openings. Where there isn't room for a door to swing, other configurations may suit better. We'll look at the space around the opening and the furniture you plan to put there, and recommend the most practical option. ### Before your survey To get the most from your survey, have a think about a few things beforehand: how you use the room day to day, the look you're aiming for, any colours or finishes you already like, and whether other building or decorating work is planned. Photos of styles you like are useful too. None of this is essential, as we'll guide you through every choice, but it helps us give you a precise origin internal doors quote in a single visit. ### Paying for your project We keep payment simple and transparent. A 65% deposit is taken to order your products from the manufacturer, and the balance is due on the day of completion, once the job is finished. We don't publish prices, because every home is different. Get in touch for a quote. Your written quote will show exactly what you're paying for. ### Choosing a brand We supply and fit products from manufacturers rather than making our own, which means we can recommend what genuinely suits your home. Origin aluminium is our best seller and carries a 20-year manufacturer's guarantee. RK Steel is our steel brand for internal doors, with a fire-rated option. For front doors we supply Bel'M and Palladio. At survey we'll explain the differences in plain terms. ### Understanding the guarantee Because we don't manufacture, the guarantee on your product is the manufacturer's guarantee, and it varies by brand. Origin products carry a 20-year manufacturer's guarantee. For other brands, we'll confirm the guarantee for your specific product in writing with your quote, so there are no surprises later. ### Getting an accurate quote Every opening is different, so we don't publish prices. The fastest route to a firm figure is a free quote from your plans, followed by a free survey once you go ahead: we measure, check the condition of the opening and talk through the finish, glazing and hardware you want. You'll get a written quote listing exactly what's included before you decide anything. ### Homes we work on Our customers are mainly households: replacements in existing homes, renovations, extensions and self-builds. P Black and Son supplies products from manufacturers and fits them, so you deal with one team from first visit to final handover.
